About Mooch

After an amazing first year, Mooch is getting a more permanent space. Our new space will allow us to have more relaxed and informative tastings and consultations, as well as the ability to introduce a new aspect to our business- Workshops!  That’s right, for all of you who have said how beautiful the cakes are and how you wished you could learn to decorate like that, your chance is coming. Megan, Owner & Pastry Chef of Mooch, will be offering specialized beginner-friendly cake decorating workshops out of our new studio space, so stay tuned for workshop announcements!

Megan is the face behind Mooch.

 As the owner and creator of all things sweet with Mooch, Megan creates edible works of art and has been doing so since 2012. After receiving her B.A. from UBC, she continued on to study the sweeter things in life at The Culinary Institute of America and has been featured in several publications for her pastry and baked creations. With a background in fine dining, the standards of kitchen cleanliness and “doing things right” are in the forefront of her mind. Megan’s attention to detail and constant strive for perfection is what makes Mooch’s creations a work of art. 

Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, we are a company that specializes in creating beautiful, bespoke all buttercream wedding cakes for brides and grooms on their special day. Baked to perfection using only the freshest ingredients, Megan will create an edible masterpiece which will be beautifully displayed at your upcoming reception.

To those of you who chose Mooch to be a part of your wedding day, thank you for helping us grow to where we now have a permanent dedicated Mooch space just one year after deciding to pursue this on a full-time basis.  For those of you in the wedding planning stages, we would love to discuss your cake vision with you and design an edible work of art for your special day.
